BC Modern’s January Collection pulls together multiple vintage collections sourced from all over Wisconsin, including Neenah, Stevens Point, Cudahy, Fox Point, Milwaukee, and River Hills. Every event is a completely new drop, and this month is loaded with quality across furniture, décor, collectibles, and style.
In the shop you’ll find a lot of the classics people come to BC Modern for: Pyrex, Fire King, Anchor Hocking, McCoy pottery, cast iron, cookie jars, studio pottery, art glass, Viking glass, Italian pottery, vintage planters, lamps, swung vases, and one-of-a-kind wall art. There’s also a strong kitchenware presence with glassware, dishware, barware, and nostalgic pieces that feel lived-in, not staged.
The Valentine’s display this month is something special. Lots of Valentine décor, styled in a way that feels nostalgic without being overdone.
Furniture is a big part of this collection. You’ll see newly upholstered lounge chairs, swivel barrel chairs, restored mid-century wood pieces, dining sets, and statement furniture in teak and rosewood. Highlights include Herman Miller tables and chairs, Florence Knoll, Burke, and a rare one-owner three-piece set custom made in the 1970s by artist Jay Peters.
The clothing section has been refreshed with a winter collection of coats, sweaters, and a curated selection of shoes. BC Modern pillows have also been restocked and continue to be one of the most popular pieces in the shop.
Everything here is hand-selected. No estate leftover junk. No thrift-store chaos. Just strong vintage, thoughtful curation and restoration, and pieces that actually make sense together in a real home.
BC Modern is only open once per month, and every event features an entirely new collection.
